On one of the best grass pitches I've seen in many a year, Basingstoke took on ex-Southern League rivals AFC Totton, in what became a very competitive friendly at the Snows Stadium. Neither team created that many chances in the first-half and it was the homeside to took the lead after a strange penalty award by the referee. The game already very competitive, then saw an awful challenge by a Totton defender, who gave the referee no option but to show him a straight red card.
Stoke continued to press and a late Le Paih finish, gave us a deserved equaliser.
Up Next: Our last pre-season friendly is at Wimborne Town's new ground next Saturday.
Hard to believe that was a friendly, their #3 had several nasty off the ball digs at Touray before their #4s shocking two footed tackle. Still hard to work out what our starting line up will be on 13th.
