Gavin James hasn't even asked the residents (I'm one of them) - he cites things like the amount of away fans who will stampede through the estate from the station as "quite frightening" which is farcical and "A much better site for everyone would be the Leisure Park". He's a resident too and because he doesn't want it, he puts up a facade and doesn't use the full facts (has he seen our attendances?!), scaremongering the neutrals. Idiot.
Having read his open letter, he is very very assuming (as usual) and makes up ridiculous potential scenarios. Look forward to Rafi's reply..
In my personal opinion Councillor James has abused his position by expressing his personal opinion in this way. Surely a more reasonable approach would have been to establish the facts and seek the opinions of the people whom he claims to represent before putting pen to paper. Most of the claims that he has made are absolutely laughable.
As councillor James appears to be so ill-informed, perhaps the club should take the opportunity to educate him on the reality of the situation by inviting him to a game? Then he can see our attendance first hand.
