Basingstoke Town Football Club are pleased to announce a further development forward in achieving their goal of moving into a brand new stadium at the proposed Common Road site.
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council have now ratified the commercial agreement for the redevelopment of the current Camrose Ground & the new purpose built stadium. The matter now proceeds to public consultation.
Town Chairman Mr Rafi Razzak said of the news, “This is a major step for us in the right direction, it is the culmination of years of consultation & evaluation of our plans & dreams to move to a new stadium. A lot of work has been carried out by a lot of people. We are now more than ever excited & confident that our plans will be realised. We believe we have considered all the aspects and are confident in our application. Above all this is a community stadium and hopefully we will all be proud of it and we shall see Basingstoke Town Football Club have it as it’s home for many years to come”
