A 3-2 win gives us all three points against AFC Totton. Goals by Reid, Cook & Rowe Great all-round performance but special mention to Billy Upton, who was massive!! Match report to follow.
What a shift put in by every player, can't say expectations were high before the game especially with Atkinson and Armsworth missing but Smart and Luis were more than able replacements.
What better way to spend a bank holiday afternoon?
First thing to say is what a terrific game of football. Make no mistake, Totton are a very decent side, and I`ll be amazed if they are not in the promotion shake up.
BTFC today battled superbly. Was worried for the first 25 when we seemed to be chasing shadows, but grew into the game, goal came at a good time, and we kept going despite being pulled back twice, to ease over the line.
Turned into a great defensive performance, with every player giving everything for the cause. Thought Luis added real touch, game smarts and class, whilst Reidy (again) was outstanding, with his skills matched by his effort. But have to agree re Billy Upton, who was quite magnificent against a top quality attack, with Rendell not getting a sniff. Body on the line, huge effort, and a real winner. Hope we can hang on to him for a while, as I`ve said before, this lad can and will play higher up.

Superb win against the best team we've faced this season and you can't overstate how hard it is to go two from two over the bank holiday. Added gloss to do it with key men missing and over 1000 in the house as well. Always good to put the league on the backburner for the FA Cup on a high.
Can only back up what has been said here so far. Dan got it right going to a back three at the end and young Kai was a real tiger after he came on. Bradley would have scored today with that fantastic curler at real pace but their keeper pulled off a 'worldie' to fingertip the ball onto the bar.
