Basingstoke Town Football Clubs Camrose stadium pitch is undergoing some out of season works and on track to be ready for the opening pre season friendly versus Yeovil Town on Saturday 12th July.
Head Groundsman Ray Bulpitt, and assistant Izzie, have carried out extensive works on the under soil drainage system and have had the opportunity to repair a collapsed section at the David Wilson Homes end of the ground. The works also included sending cameras down the drainage canals and subsequent clearing of a number. There were some areas under ground that could not be repaired but the resulting work will mean a major impovement in the drainage than previous seasons.
In addition to this work a specialist air compression machine has been used to reduce compaction in the soil and together with grass seeeding and fertiliser treatments the pitch is on track to offer a superb playing surface for the season ahead.
The club would like to express its thanks to Ray and his Groundtec team for their efforts and for their continued support.
