A Massive Thank You!
The club would like to extend a massive thank you to all those people that helped to make yesterday’s official launch of our Soccer AM Stadium such a huge success.
To Simon Hood and all at Soccer AM for getting their heads together to create the project. It promises to be a fantastic link-up this season with so much already in the pipeline to put us at Basingstoke Town FC very firmly on the footballing map.
To every single fan, well over a thousand on the day who came to cheer on the team and be part of such a special day. And all those that regularly make contact and support the club via our social media groups.
To our fantastic mascot Stokie the Dragon for doing what he does best by entertaining so many.
To Doug the Pug for being so friendly & cheerful despite all the attention.
Our fantastic & loyal band of stewards, ground staff, gatemen, Clubshop, caterers & bar staff.
To Matt Minnis for living every footballers dream by performing amazing freestyle tricks to the entertainment of all in attendance. The new BTFC TV team who will be producing their very first episode this week.
To Ken Batt the club Chaplain for dedicating our new memorial bench.
The Wolverines group of Cheerleaders for their fantastic routine & energy on the day. And the Face Painter, bouncy castle & helpers for brightening up the faces of so many smiling little ones!
To The Mayor of Basingstoke and all those from St Michaels Hospice who attended to mark the launch of our charity of the year and to all those who very generously made donations on the day.
To all those that took part in the half time cross bar challenge, watch out for your moment of glory (or shame!) on the Soccer AM show soon!
To Jason Bristow & the team for staying behind afterwards for a very well attended question & answer fans forum with a top table in the spotlight of Jason, Manny Williams, Director Paul Waller & Head of Marketing Simon Hood. And all those that asked such probing questions.
To the new and existing club sponsors for supporting the club and helping us grow to hopefully achieve our aim in providing the Borough with a football club to be proud of, now & in the future.
Our football season starts properly next Saturday back at the Soccer AM Stadium when we host Hemel Hempstead (3pm kick off), in what promises to be a thrilling first game back with the added spice of the return of former club Captain Wes Daly for Hemel.
We very much hope to see you all back next Saturday and/or throughout the season. Anyone planning to return on more than a few occasions could consider a season ticket which we feel is very good value and the cheapest in our league.
Thank you once again from us all at the Club to everybody that has given us support. It is very much appreciated. Here’s to a fantastic 2014/15 season!
