Salisbury City FC –v- The Football Conference
A Football Association Appeal Board today heard an appeal from Salisbury City FC in respect of the Club’s expulsion from The Football Conference. The Appeal was dismissed.
The parties to the appeal, who were both given the full opportunity of attending the hearing at Wembley Stadium today, were Salisbury City FC Ltd under its present owners and The Football Conference.
The Appeal Board decided not to allow the former owners of the Club to attend the hearing. The Appeal Board carefully considered a request from those former owners to take a full part in the appeal but came to the view they had no legal standing to represent the Club.
As a result of this appeal, Salisbury FC is no longer able to participate in any Division of the Football Conference. The Club will now be removed from the Vanarama Conference South fixture list for the coming season which starts this Saturday, 9th August.
What an absolute mess at the moment down at Salisbury. Cannot understand what the owner thinks he is playing at. I hope long term they can sort it out.
RIP CAMROSE - SADLY AND UNCEREMONIOUSLY TAKEN AWAY FROM THE PEOPLE OF BASINGSTOKE . NEVER TO BE FORGOTTEN
Prejudice is a great TIME SAVER. You can form opinions without having to get to the FACTS.
Not surprising news considering how close the appeal was to the start of the season. A total shambles from the previous owners and from the governing bodies to allow it to happen.
