So recently this week BBC Sport have decided to do a more in depth look at the price of football and just how much it costs to watch your beloved club play and go for the win
Unfortunately but in someways its true as I support Arsenal it is without doubt The Gunners are the most expensive team in England to watch with a normal matchday ticket costing £90 and thats not even counting your travel money to get there by train then if you choose to have food and drink by the time thats all done with your looking at a good £130-£160 just for 1 single game and in my view only a fool would pay that sort of money for 1 game
I can not stress this enough but no matter what I will ALWAYS support Basingstoke Town but the question also has to be asked here. Is Basingstoke Town charging too much? In truth and I will not be frightened to say this but in honesty I think we are in terms of matchday ticket prices £12 including cost to get there (if you get the bus to the Soccer AM Stadium) food and your matchday programme thats gonna come to at least £20 per home game. It also turns out that season ticket holders also have to payout matchday prices for home FA Cup games FA Trophy games and though were out now but it would of also meant home Hampshire Senior Cup games
So out of interest I wanted to know peoples thoughts of this. Are we and possibly other clubs charging too much?

Being the short fat barstard I am, I will start walking to the ground on a home game thus saving two pounds on the bus but unfortatly I will have a bovril on a chilly evening thus keeping the calories on adding up to 19 pounds spent. Having spent a shed load of money on watching my national team under actieve I think twelve quid is a bargain ! Better still put 3 quid away a week and buy season ticket before we get really good ! :-)
The whole country is over priced for football when you compare it to somewhere like Germany. The Premier League is the main culprit and this causes prices below it to become inflated in a domino effect.
