So St Neots Town lose the Evo-Stik Premier Divsion playoff final to Truro City 1-0 which means trips to Dartford and a awfully long trip to Truro City again
But with 3 northern teams being relegated from the Conference Premier Alfreton AFC Telford and Nuneaton question is who's gonna be coming into the Conference South?
Looking at it I reckon they'll move Oxford City over from the North. Depending who wins the Ryman play offs I reckon I'll have 2 or 3 new grounds to visit next season. Looking forward to going to Truro again, was great fun last time.
It also depends on if Oxford City want to be moved over, Gloucester didn't want to a few years ago and stayed in the north. Lowestoft were hugely disappointed to be put in the north last season. Let's not forget Maidstone coming up, who will bring a big following with them.
I understand where people are coming on this with the same old same old. I also understand people saying what could have been and it will take time to get over it, it hurts end off. However we have to 100% be over it for the start of the season, play off hangovers are common and as a club we really do need to reflect on what has been a successful season and look to build on it now, we have had a taste of it now lets keep it up.
Im not for one second saying that anyone making these comments wont be there as passionate as ever by the way, it is purely a psychological thing that we need to be sure is well out of our systems come the first game. I was actually thinking the other day, what do we need to do to be able to maintain or improve on this season and one of the big things IMO is to actually gain a little bit of that big club attitude, go into games thinking we should win this, not in an over complacent way but a confident way, although we have shown this in stages I wouldn't exactly say its our usual thoughts and rightly so, but maybe we need to try and breed a regular winning culture and atmosphere.
Anyway enough of my rambles, ill start looking at train times for Truro on a Tuesday : )
Wouldn't mind Lowestoft coming across from the North as it would be a decent weekender, although I'd imagine Oxford City will be moved. Both will be a new ground for me along with Maidstone and Hemel. As for one coming up from the ryman I'd rather it wasn't Hendon or Dulwich (nothing against either club) as Hendon play at Harrow and I've done Dulwich a few times which leaves Margate, Enfield or Met Police. Out of those 3 I'd take Margate or Enfield as i've been to Met Police. The rest of the league's a bit meh as I've been there, seen it, done it.

Spot on, this season's team have set the bar now for next season and we have to go into it believing that we will be up there again, perhaps even stronger. I can't think of a better management team of Jason & Michael that I would want at the club. After the hyped up and disappointing reigns of Francis Vines & Frank Gray, Jason has really given the club strong direction on the field and it feels like it is now a matter of when not if we are going to reach the conference.
Big season coming up where we will hopefully finally get out of this league after 19 years at this level and some progress with the new ground too.
Play-offs disappointing yes, but I am already pumped up for next season, and we could get to go to Newquay for a weekend again....unless it is midweek (surely a week in Newquay then? )
Great news that our fantastic management team have committed their future to the club, they are taking us in the right direction and delivering it on a sustainable budget, we have players who have the drive and determination and that really rubs off on everyone at the club.
Why not set our target this year as promotion, its not to say its failure if we don't but we should believe its possible.
